Test Setup

With the exception of SiSoft Sandra and Lavalys Everest, all of our benchmarks have been engineered to give you numbers that you are likely to find useful when actually using the products we have evaluated in the real world.
  • Intel DCG45F Mini-ITX Motherboard
  • Zotac GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi Motherboard

  • Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200
  • 2GB DDR2-800MHz memory (BIOS defaults)
  • Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 160GB Hard Drive
  • Windows Vista x64 with SP1
  • Nvidia Forceware 182.08
  • Intel 15.11.2.1554 WHQL

Intel's memory performance is fundamentally better and although the write latency is a little slow, the read and copy performance is better for the DG45FC, and it features a 28 percent lower latency too: that's considerable!

Sisoft Sandra echoes the sentiments above, but is more forgiving for the Nvidia setup, now the Intel board is only nine percent lower latency and 400MB/s faster.
